Meet the Makers

Ash & Co is powered by a diverse group of individuals, each contributing in meaningful ways to our growing business. Our team includes students from the Heartshare Education Center, as well as individuals participating in Pre-Vocational Training and Supported Employment (SEMP). Together, they design, assemble, package, and prepare products for sale—building real-world skills in a supportive, structured environment.

Each maker plays an important role in daily operations while developing independence, confidence, and pride in their work.

How it works

  • Students (Heartshare Education Center)

Students who are actively building foundational vocational and life skills through hands-on experience within Ash & Co.

  • Pre-Vocational Participants

Individuals focusing on skill development, work readiness, and routine-based tasks to prepare for future employment opportunities.

  • Supported Employment (SEMP)

Individuals working toward greater independence in a business setting with ongoing job coaching and support.

  • Support Staff

Job coaches, program staff, and supervisors who provide guidance, structure, and individualized support to ensure each maker can succeed in their role.

  • Day Habilitation Participants

Individuals participating in community-based and vocational experiences focused on building independence, socialization, communication, and meaningful daily living skills through structured activities and hands-on involvement within Ash & Co.

“When you wear an Ash & Co bracelet, you are wearing something someone worked hard to make — not as a project, but as a job.”
